Getting Started with proudP
Your complete guide from download to your first urine flow test
STEP 1:
Download proudP on Your iPhone
1. Open the App Store
2. Tap the Search tab and type “proudP”
3. Find the app with the blue logo and white P, then tap “Get”
4. Use Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password to confirm
STEP 2:
Set Up proudP
1. When the download finishes, find the app on your home screen and tap it
2. When proudP opens, Tap “Get Started”
3. When prompted, tap “Allow” for:
- Microphone access – to measure your urine flow using sound (no video)
- Notifications – for helpful reminders
4. Choose a plan
Or tap the X (in the upper left corner) to skip for now
5. If subscribing, tap “Start My Plan”
* If payment info is missing,
- Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Payment & Shipping
- Add a payment method, then return to proudP and restart this step
STEP 3:
Create Your Account
When you purchase any plan, proudP will ask you to create an account to securely manage your health data
1. Sign up with your email and make a password
Or tap the Apple icon for quick sign-in
2. Enter your date of birth and make sure “male” is selected for sex
STEP 4:
Explore the Home Screen
After setup, you’ll see three main tools in the Home tab (bottom left):
- Uroflow Test — measure your urine flow
- Fluid Intake — log how much water you drink (this affects flow and bladder behavior)
- Symptoms Score — track changes in how you feel
You can also tap the Insights tab (bottom right) to view:
- Your bladder diary
- Trend graphs
- Informative videos and articles
STEP 5:
Connect with Your Doctor
Required if you were referred by a clinic
1. From the Home screen, tap the ≡ menu (top right), then tap “Connect Doctor”
2. Tap “Find Your Provider”
3. Enter your doctor’s name or clinic code, and then tap “Search”
4. Select your doctor’s name, then tap “Select”
5. Confirm your first and last name — tap to edit if needed
6. Tap “Allow to Share My Data” to complete the connection
Now your proudP result will be automatically delivered to your doctor
STEP 6:
Review the Measuring Guide (Before Testing)
1. Tap “Measuring Guide” under Uroflow Test on the Home screen
2. Tap “Continue” through each tip
3. At the end, tap “Practice Recording”
This is a simulated recording — not real
4. Tap “START”
A countdown appears, then the “Finish” button
This simulates the timing of a real test
5. Tap “Finish” to end the screen simulation
6. Answer whether it was a night-time urination, then tap “Finish” again to exit
STEP 7:
Take Your First Uroflow Test
When you feel the urge to urinate, follow what you’ve seen from the measuring guide
1. Open the proudP app
2. Place your phone 2–3 feet from the toilet bowl
- Use a shelf, toilet tank, or bathroom counter
- Make sure the microphone is not blocked
- Do not hold the phone during the test
3. Tap “START”. A short countdown will begin
4. When the countdown ends, urinate into the center of the water in the toilet bowl while standing
5. When finished, tap “Finish”
6. proudP will analyze your recording. Once analysis is complete, you’ll see your flow graph and result
7. You’ll be asked: “Was this a night-time urination?” Tap Yes or No
8. Tap “Finish” to complete the test
